Disappearing items with zombie

I was playing on a server with my friend Abby, and she died from a baby zombie villager, but we had used the weakness pot and golden apple on it before so it was gonna cure, then it picked up her armor and sword and when it cured, her stuff disappeared, it didn't drop or anything. She has to get new everything now, please read this and fix it! Thank you
