MCPE converting worlds crash

When I try to convert an old mcpe world the whole game crashes on and iPad Pro 2017. What happens is that I open mcpe tap on one of my old worlds it starts to convert / update to the latest version for about 1 sec then the whole app crashes and does not convert
Not sure if this plays a part but the world size normally is 12-13mb but after the app updated it says 21mb
