Villager issues

Villagers that are in my base (and name tagged) keep despawning. This has happened to me twice so far. PLEASE FIX. This mostly happens when I leave the area for an extended period of time. As of August 9th, I am still having this problem. They are not becoming invisible, they are despawning. They don't make sound and their names don't show up.
