Shulkers Don't Drop Shells in 1.12.1

In my private SMP with friends hosted by Aternos. Shulkers don't drop shells when they are killed. I killed like 10 of them with a looting 3 sword but still they won't drop any shells. Please help. It makes my end city exploration halfway complete!
