GAME CRASH An unexpected issue occurred and the game has crashed. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

I am unable to play Minecraft on the PC since I have purchased it on account of the game crashing. When I click the play button, all that pops up is a message that reads: "GAME CRASH An unexpected issue occurred and the game has crashed. We're sorry for the inconvenience." All my drivers and what not are up to date, so I know that it is not anything of that sort. However, I was informed that the launcher system has been suspended by Mojang because of some sort of glitch. When am I going to be able to play my game?
