My world has been corrupted twice now!!!

My world got deleted when i updated minecraft on my xbox 360 console, i can still go in to my world but i got spawned to a crazy place and i couldn't look sideways and/or up and down. Is this just a bug or is it permanent? This has now happened to two worlds!!!!
