Inconsistent unlocking of cut blocks

The bug

Chiseled blocks (sandstone/red_sandstone/stonebrick/quartz_block) are crafted via combining 2 slabs of appropriate type, but only cut sandstone is unlocked via slabs, while all other recipes require base block of any kind. Also, red sandstone cut blocks unlock themselves.

How to reproduce

1. Clear all recipes

   /recipe take @p *
   /advancement revoke @p from minecraft:recipes/root
   

2. Get a sandstone slab in your inventory
   → Cut sandstone recipe is unlocked
3. Get a red sandstone slab
   → Nothing is unlocked
4. Get cut red sandstone
   → Multiple recipes are unlocked, one of which is cut red sandstone itself
