Sticky Piston Not sticking

The new 1.12 update brought up a bug so when I try to make a 1x2 Redstone door the pistons aren't sticky to other pistons I don't know if I'm the only one having this issue I'm playing on a server with a few people and I'm the only one I know of having a problem with this.
