Cant Play 1.12

I can't play 1.12 i tried to login in to 1.12 but it kept on glitching me back out i can only play 1.11.2 and below so please help and fix this bug i even downloaded better JAVA i still can't play and i can't play the the new Minecraft Launcher so because i can't update my computer so please fix this
