Error in before versions (like 1.4.7)

I was just logging in to the Minecraft, and selected 1.4.7 to play minecraft map.
But after the loading, the launcher closed, and said "report to mojang" The newest version works well, but previous versions don't work so well.
What's the problem, Mojang?
