Windows10 Game DVR/Xbox recording does not work

When attempting to use Windows 10's Game DVR/Xbox app to record the screen all other apps work fine, but when attempting to record Minecraft the error "Unable to record at the moment. Try again later." appears.

As stated, this issue only ever occurs with Minecraft and is likely an issue with how the game runs (something JVM related?).
