1.5 Crash Report

I have discovered that 1.5 came out! Congrats!

But there is one problem.
When I startup minecraft with the 1.5 as my minecraft.jar, my minecraft crashes. I have the crash report as an attachment so you can take a look. I am thinking it is the laptop I'm using, which I got when I was a kid. I'm not exactly sure when I got this laptop, but it was somewhere around 2004-2006 I guess? I'm 13 years of age (born in 1999) so I don't know about any of this stuff. My guess: I need another laptop. When I check for a software update, there isn't. It always stays at 10.5.8 and doesn't go up any farther. The laptop is a MacBook (not a MacBook Pro). If you can help, please do!

EDIT- 1.4.7 does work but not 1.5, just so you know.
