updated to java 1.8.0_131 now major ground clipping

All snap shot ran very well under java _121. Just updated to 1.8.0_131 and there is major clipping of the terrain like one has gone into spectator mode. When playing snapshot 17w18a. This happens in snapshot 17w17b too.

This started in the game just as it started to rain and when lightening was about to strike. However, now that the storm is over I can't get it to recreate. The lightening/clipping effect seemed to endure long after it stopped raining though.
