Click out of the inventory thing

Can you change the fact that you cant drop items by clicking out of the inventory please? i use that a lot. also, it is the only way to drop a whole stack at a time or multiple blocks. i dissagree that this is a bug. please jeb or notch. i'd really like that back. not to be rude though (of course xD).
