Game crashes when joining a server with custom advancements.

Each time I try joining my server that has custom advancement it crashes. The crash happens when the custom advancement is unlocked and then it continues to crash each time you join after that. Here is the crash: Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: java.lang.NullPointerException.
Please help! I wanna show my friends the new advancement system!
