Custom sounds in resource packs get cut off or do not play at all (1.11.2 only)

When I attempt to play a custom sound I added using a resource pack the sound often gets cut off at a random spot. Sometimes the sound does not play at all. If I were to play the sound again after an instance of it not playing, it would play as if it never happened. However, with the cutting off of sounds, I cannot play any sounds for more than about a second and a half no matter what I try.

I would like to specify that the version of minecraft mentioned is a different version from that of an issue recently named in another post. I would also like to note that the main issue of this bug is that sounds are being cut off midway through. This issue occurs every time, while the issue of the sounds not playing only occurs occasionally.
