17w13b Crafting Book Disappearance in LAN Multiplayer

When I joined the host's world with my PC it worked fine, but with the new feature in 1.12 where you can use the book that appears next to the crafting grid, it only appeared for the world host. Although I had it on for me, it was invisible. I can still click on it though.

The bug is very minor, but it would be very good if you could fix this please. Thanks!
