If Attempting to to pick up more than two parrots, the third dissapears

After claiming the parrots, I right clicked two to get them on my shoulders and wondered if maybe a third would do on my head, I picked up the third, and it completely dissapeared. I got the parrots off my shoulders and tried to get all three to teleport back to me but was unsuccessful. The third parrot was nowhere to be found
