Furnace with hoppers and switches

Using the setup as per the picture.
When the switch is flicked to the on position, the furnace is able to convert the cobble to smooth stone as fast as the hopper can feed it.
The fuel I was using was lava with a lava bucket placed inside it for when the original fuel ran out.
