Issue with Finding LAN Games

When someone on the same LAN opens up their singleplayer world to LAN, it never shows up on the multiplayer screen. I always have to look up the Server Address for Direct Connect. Likewise, when I open one of my singleplayer worlds to the local network, other players on the same network cannot view it in the multiplayer screen. They too must type in the IP address for Direct Connect. Is there a way to make the games hosted on LAN be seen on the multiplayer screen.
