it wont let me access the minecraft servers (Not multiplayer)

it will not let me access the minecraft login servers on my desktop computer i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling minecraft and java checked my firewall settings and internet settings it wont let me log in on my desktop but it will on my laptop and i cannot play on my lagy laptop forever
