Process crashed with Exit Code -1073740940

Everytime I join a server or single player world in the Newest version of minecraft, the game crashes with error code 255. I have deleted and reinstalled minecraft and i have updated Java. This only occurs on the newest version while I am still able to play 1.7.10 version of the game on servers. I would enjoy any help.
