When I try to play Minecraft in some versions it crashes

What I expected to happen was to play Minecraft on the version I choose (1.10 but this happen in higher versions than 1.10)*

What actually happened was I clicked in "Join server" (I was trying to play Multiplayer) but it crashed.

I am not sure if this is a "bug" but I can't play on version 1.10 or higher because it crashes, I did nothing to happen that and I don't know what to do.
