Minecraft will not launch because the launcher is unable to create a directory

What I expected to happen was...:
Minecraft launching.

What actually happened was...:
The game gave an error message, saying "close2.ogg", the URL

***This does NOT occur on older launchers!
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make sure you have the filename on disk
2. ...Launch Minecraft with the new launcher
