I can't play with my sister in a world

When i try join her LAN world, even if we are on the same network, it says Connecting to server for a while, and then it says java.net.connection: Connection timed out, no further information. Also when she tries to join my world, it doesn't even show up in LAN worlds, even though i open it to LAN. We have the same version of Java, both 32 bit. We both tried deleting a minecraft folders, and getting minecraft again, but nothing changed. Please help fix. We restarted both of our computers countless times, and (as far as i know) we don't have any malware on our computers. I run malwarebytes every day.
