Crashing

Every time i get on a server that I have it works for a little bit. Then my game freezes and stops working so i hit the windows button on my laptop. It says the Java binary file has stopped working so I close the program.Then when I get back to the launcher it says the game has crashed.It didn't do this with the other launcher version..Please fix.I love minecraft and this is annoying me very much.It has been happening ever since the new launcher update.
