cant launch from new launcher

I was trying to launch minecraft from the new launcher but it always gets stuck on not responding!

What I expected to happen was...:
When I launched minecraft, it would go to the title screen

What actually happened was...:
it gets stuck on not responding

Steps to Reproduce:
go to minecrafts new launcher
click on play button
