Void has same color as stone (gray) on maps

The bug

Since version 1.11 void is no longer showed transparent on maps (in hand and in item frame). It shows same color as stone block as shown on attached screenshot.

Suggestions if transparent is no-no:

show void as a black color
show void in its own recognizable color that is unique
