Invalid sound files freeze the game

Whenever an invalid sound file is played, the game freezes, without any error message whatsoever.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Download the attached resource pack.
2. Enable it in-game.
3. Use

   /playsound minecraft:totallyavalidsound.txt master @p

4. Game freezes.

The game should abort and throw an error instead.
