Elytra flying issue in "VOID world"

Weird bug.
Steps,
Jump off preset void platform with elyra.
Fly.
Use firework.
??? Nothing happens. No boost. You just glide.

Load a non void world. Repeat steps.
Firework work and boosts you while flying.
