Cannot load worlds--old or new. Game keeps crashing when loading worlds.

What I expected to happen was...:
A world would load.

What actually happened was...:
The game would crash.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Minecraft
2. Click "Singleplayer"
3. Click "Load World" or "Create World"
4. Crash
