the Minecraft program keeps crashing during the upload process

Not being computer savey. I have just upload the latest version of mine craft for my son. It seems to be fine except when he goes to play it. It come up with Mine craft has crashed sorry for the inconvenience and gives me a copy of a report which means nothing to me.
