Eye of the end does not locate portal room and keep floating

I was trying to find the portal of the end using the eye of the end, I was able to find the end fortress, while the eye of the end did not take me to the portal room, it was stopped in the air, I tried to change to the creative mode and I dug for all sides, I also used a mod to see through the blocks and could not find the portal.This is by far the worst bug in sprinkage, because I worked hard enough to get to the end, but now it's impossible to finish my game unless I build the portal using creative mode
