Skin stuck as alex!!

my minecraft skin has been stuck as alex for about a week now. i tried changing it, that didnt work, i downloaded one then changed, it didnt work, now i've made my own original skin, that still doesn't work! please help. i've reinstalled minecraft but that didnt do anything.
