Stairs make blocks see through

When I look through stairs at a block its invisible on the side next to the stair

What I expected to happen was...:
The block directly next to the stairs would be visible.

What actually happened was...:
The block's side directly next to the stairs is see through.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.place down a stair
2. place down a block next to the stair as shown in my screenshot
3. Try and look at the block through the stair
4. The block will be invisible
