Pistons cannot be crafted with any other color wood planks

I was trying to create pistons for my hipster door in survival mode in my jungle tree house with my jungle planks and I noticed the pistons were not craftable with jungle planks. But I did notice however that they are with oak wood, so I tested to see and sure enough ONLY oak wood planks can craft pistons.
