latest version of minecraft for Xbox 360 after downloading can not open any chests without game freezing

I got the latest version of minecraft. After the update was done I opened my game and I can not open any chess in the game without everything freezing. I have to turn the Xbox off and turn it back on. I can not open ANY chests in minecraft not even in other players games.
