Redstone repeaters don't power through non tranparent blocks

*What I expected to happen was that it will send power through

Steps to Reproduce:
1. place a lever with redstone dust in front then a repeater in front of the redstone
2. then dig one block and place a sticky piston with a block on top
3.then a repeater in front of the block
