Torches don't get Updated

If you place a repeater going into a block, place redstone torches on any side of the block and then power the repeater, the redstone torches won't get updated.

If you do this using a comparator, it wont work neither.

Redstone dust going into a block will work though...

I think it is a problem with the repeaters updating the block it is facing into?
