Comparators do not react properly to 1-tick pulses.

Recreate the second pic and place a torch above that one(1-tick manual monostable). Both lights should pulse(sometimes even in this case they don't).

Make it as in the first pic(you can separate the lines if you think repeaters are affecting the comparators). Notice comparators no longer light up.
I've found similar bugs but they are marked as fixed.
