Furnace is /completely/ unusable

I know someone else made a post with a similar title, but his was still a different issue. For him, the furnace was at least working for a little while. For me, it literally crashes the game.

At first, I thought it was just shift-clicking. But after relaunching Minecraft and trying again manually, the same crash happened.
