furnace is broken

In survival or creative when trying to cook (food or wood) in the furnace using coal, sticks, and charcoal my game crashes.

I am allowed to cook with (all) wood blocks and planks.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Place a wood block or food in the top slot of furnace
2. Place stick, charcoal, or coal in bottom slot of furnace
3. Game crashes
