(Fixed)Files Missing while Reinstalling minecraft

While downloading any version of minecraft, files seem not to download. The game loads and I can play, but looking in the folders and while playing in general, there is no sound. this happens with versions 1.8.9+, and I've tried doing many versions. I've deleted the folders, I reinstalled the game, and I do not know what to do.
