Odd world generation

What I expected to happen was the world being created normally. What actually happened was there was an oddly loaded chunk - the game seemed to try and create a snow biome, an ocean biome and a jungle biome all in one. The settings I changed for the new world were:
-Gamemode: creative
-World Type: large biomes
