game crashing

What I expected to happen was...:
the game would load
What actually happened was...:
after clicking play world it started to load terrain then crashed

Steps to Reproduce:
1. click play offline
2. go to single player...click it
3. play selected world or create new
4. game starts to load...building terrain...then crashes

I tried to log out then back in and now I get a unrecognized windows socket error 10106 and cannot get logged back in. I have gotten to play one time since buying and never agin
