Server Side Error: java.lang.StackOverflowError: Exception while updating neighbours

I expected the world to generate, but the generation stopped and a server side error occurred.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a world, which is creative mode and default settings
2. Recreate this world, changing only the setting making the world amplified
3. Try to close Minecraft.
