Gamerule keep inventory will change from true to false

Dear Mojang,
Me and my friends were playing on our server 1.10.2 and we enabled keep inventory to true.But,when we died we lost all our things and when we checked if someone changed it we found nothing.This is really annoying and mysterious.I've forgot to mention that we checked the state and it was false.
