running 1.10.1 and game keeps crashing when i go onto multiplayer servers

Im going onto to some of my favorite servers when in the first minute of being on the game crashes.
Describe what happened here

Steps to Reproduce:
1. log into minecraft and click multiplayer
2. type in a server IP address and log into the server
3. on the server i was on there were mini games and once i chose the game it crashed
