The commands don't work!

After using Minecraft 1.10, I went back to using 1.8 and 1.7 all of them had a problem which was that I could not Shift Click items into my inventory, but I had to HOLD down my left click button and drag it, I had to drag it into my inventory. I never had this problem before I used Minecraft 1.10, I have reinstalled Minecraft once, but it has not fixed my problem. And in Minecraft version 1.8, I had the options to move my servers up and down, and the option was only available if I hovered my mouse over it , Now it is just always there and that is also a change i've discovered.
