Village full of zombies

So I was running around my world and not even a day had passed (In creative) and I come across a village full of zombie villagers. As it was mid-day and no nights had come to rise yet, this would technically be impossible. I was wondering if this was a bug or a rare occurrence but I put it here anyway.

I can promise I came across this travelling a world in Creative mode and did not tamper with it at all, and that no nights had passed.
